Please note: We are not a shelter and don't keep animals on site except for those recovering from surgery. Although we very much appreciate all the responses from animal lovers, we are looking for volunteers with some veterinary experience.

Who we need

We are seeking volunteers with at least some veterinary experience. Ideally, volunteers would have spay/neuter experience, but all levels of experience are very welcome, including vet and nurse students.

We need volunteers to take the lead on services such as surgeries, vaccinations, and wound care.  If you are interested please fill in the form below, or click on the button to check out our Workaway.info page.

Why volunteer with us?

This will be a great place to hone your skills as you will be in effect the manager of the clinic when you are here. Please understand this aspect.

You will be provided with a bedroom.  The clinic has a shared kitchen and bath

There is plenty of opportunity for swimming, snorkeling, diving and kayaking. On land, there are bicycling trails, a Muay Thai boxing gym, tennis, and plenty of restaurants and bars.

The island is just off the coast of Cambodia, so the folks who live here come from both Thailand and Cambodia.  People working with the clinic will get a chance to interact with both of these similar but different cultures.

In addition, volunteers get to experience first hand how Buddhism is the cornerstone of both cultures.

We work closely with the islands residents, so you will get a chance to see how they live and experience island life.

This Island Rocks!  Seriously, most volunteers don't want to leave.  :

For those who volunteer at the clinic, we offer a small self-contained apartment as part of the structure.

The cozy bedroom has a king bed, armoire and fan. There are two larger bedrooms and a stand alone studio bungalow.  There is a covered terrace with a table and chairs, and a Thai style bathroom with shower.  A covered outdoor kitchen completes the apartment.

Food is not included as the clinic is a standalone unit, but meals on island start at 40baht

Why we need volunteers

We are a non-profit organization and rely entirely on donations, volunteers and sponsorship to carry out our work. We receive no government funding, and rely heavily on the goodwill of the local community, tourists and friends.  We sincerely appreciate all our volunteers!
